Veterans Barber Shop on to stay up to date!
The Name
Veterans Barber Shop was given its name for two reasons. The first reason is because founder and owner Jonathan A.D. Williams is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. The other reason is because the shop was located on East Veterans Drive in Cookeville, Tennessee for the first sixteen years in business.
The Story
Veterans Barber Shop opened in the fall of 2006. Coming from a law enforcement and military background, it was Jonathan's vision to have a simple, traditional men's barber shop. No appointments, informal atmosphere, vacuum clippers and neck shaves were to be the hallmarks.
Within a few years, Veterans became one of the busiest barber shops of its kind in the area. Today, Veterans Barber Shop is an institution in the Upper Cumberland region. Customers have been known to drive long distances for a cut at Veterans, and two-hour wait times are not uncommon.
